Kindergarten (13 students)

All students ranked in the top 30 percent of the national grade percentile rank. All students ranked with a grade equivalent of 1.5 or above, which is the equivalent of a student in the middle of first grade. On a national level, and as a group, this class performance ranked above average with a grade level equivalency of fifth month of the first grade.

First Grade (13 students)

All students ranked in the top 35 percent of the national grade percentile rank. All students ranked with a grade equivalency of 2.2 or above, which is the equivalent of a student in the second month of the second grade. On a national level, and as a group, this class performance ranked high average with a grade level equivalency of fifth month of the second grade.

Second Grade (12 students)

Students in this group ranked in the top 30 percent of the national grade percentile rank. Students ranked with grade level equivalencies ranging from 3.3 (third month of third grade) to 6.2 (second month of sixth grade), therefore, all students reached or exceeded their grade level equivalency. Five students ranked above average and seven ranked high average on a national comparison. The group as a whole received a grade level equivalency rank of ninth month of the third grade.

Third Grade (11 students)

Students in this group ranked within the top 50 percent of the national grade percentile rank. Individual grade equivalencies varied from extremely high (Post High School) to below average (fourth month of second grade). Seven students had a complete battery of tests that ranked them with a very high grade level equivalency (sixth grade or above) and four had grade level equivalencies that were at least one grade level below (2.7 or below). The group grade level equivalency balanced out to be the third month of the fifth grade.

Fourth Grade (8 students)

Due to the small number of students in this class, the group performance was average on a national grade equivalency, but five students had an individual grade level equivalency on or above grade level. Three students had individual grade level equivalencies below grade level. Word Study Skills, Language, and Math scores individually were high in this group.

Fifth Grade (4 students)

Because of such a small group, we will look at these students individually. We had grade level equivalencies from the sixth month of the eighth grade to beginning fourth grade. Three of these students were first year TCA students and their grade level equivalencies were lower than the student who has been with us for three years.

Sixth Grade (4 students)

This was an extremely varied group, but all ranked in the average or above average national grade percentile rank. The three students who have been at TCA for three or more years scored complete grade level equivalencies of end of eighth grade, end of ninth grade, and post high school levels.

Out of 65 tested students, 54 tested on or well above grade level.
